I guess that's the problem with huge cities and point breaks... Lots of surfers and few waves...Andyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07271790605471088648noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2671192564774633933.post-24034316520777196752008-11-17T10:37:00.000-08:002008-11-17T10:37:00.000-08:00outdrsmn -- yeah surfing, especially at point brea...outdrsmn -- yeah surfing, especially at point breaks where there are high populations around, definitely has a lord-of-the-flies (did James use that expression? lol!) thing going as far as the way they govern themselves. I actually think a lot of the experienced locals wear helmets at that spot since there are tons of rocks underwater. I think the white helmet was kinda out of position, even though he was closer to the initial peak. The wave direction wasn't perfect, a lot of the sets were breaking on the seawall.

Dave -- There was a guy who surfed here who did time for beating the crap out of another guy over waves. I'll pass on that madness. These guys seemed like pretty solid surfers though, very very few missed drops. I don't belong in places where you can't miss 75% of your drop-ins. :)Catapulting Aaronhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13721515415513822156noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2671192564774633933.post-13092903129612310502008-11-17T02:36:00.000-08:002008-11-17T02:36:00.000-08:00Great video, I have always heard of that spot, rec...Great video, I have always heard of that spot, reckon it was in one of the sufing movies, maybe 'Endless Summer 2' or something like that.....looked bloody cold!

lol @ Alcatraz!Lanohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00866122996788741704noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2671192564774633933.post-48443358203129529642008-11-16T16:06:00.000-08:002008-11-16T16:06:00.000-08:00Good video, but those guys suck. I find it interesting how the pecking order works out for who get's the wave.
Seemed like the furthest to left had right's to the wave except for the obvious "newer guy" in the white helmet. He got droped in on and had his wave snaked.Outdrsmnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03540807323794572514noreply@blogger.com
