If I Can Do It

Then you can do it.

The video is funny because I had a serious "early celebration" situation. I was so excited to have landed in the straps that I biffed my waterstart. It's so me, it's ridiculous.

I've got a lot to say on the topic of looping, so stay tuned for me to gather my thoughts.

Damn dude that is freaking awesome!!!!

I remember when you were back here on the East Coast visiting Hatteras and FWDs were quite far off in the windsurfing field of progress. Heck that was only about 2 years ago, correct?!

Congrats on the progress, I love that facial expression after you landed it and was like "Shit!!!, I did it!!" Awesome!!

Bill, that was May 08. About a year and 4 months ago. I was lucky to jibe dry back in those days, and I had never sailed a board under 100 liters.

Your blog was an inspiration to me for these last few years, I gotta say. Thanks for sharing the stoke!

Whoa! Dude! That is amazing! I can't friggin' believe it. When did you learn how to use a video camera?!?! Finally we'll get some proof of all this awesome conditions mumbo jumbo you've been posting.

Oh, and pretty sweet loop too!

Mac,

That session was on Monday actually. The day you were here was my worst day of attempts in the last couple weeks... Monday was my best. Yesterday I had another day of weak attempts (and I'm getting a bad nagging shoulder problem as a result of working on this move).

George -- thanks for the props!

James-- The only difficult thing about this trick is what happens in your head. I'll try to go into a lot of detail with another post on the blog.

I just told Anne about your recent successes, and she said:

"awww man... He used to be as bad as me... sigh..."

She also says "Regardless of making me feel like a chump, Way to GO!!"

Andy,

I don't want to hear anything out of Anne. You had a video of her doing a shove-it, which is technically a much more difficult trick.
